East Herts Speakers is is often recognised for the way in which it meets its members' needs. For the past two years the club has achieved the Toastmasters International "President's Distinguished" award. This is the highest level of recognition under the Toastmasters International Distinguished Club Program, and indicates the strength of the club in serving its members and the community.
Club members regularly participate in inter-club events, including speech contests, training and networking events and conferences that help develop leadership and communication skills. The club is part of "area 20", along with Hertfordshire Speakers, West Herts Speakers, Luton Speakers, North Herts Speakers and Cornerstone Advanced Toastmasters Club. All of these clubs are part of Division H, which is in turn part of District 71. District 71 consists of 200 clubs in the UK and Ireland.
