Yesterday we had a wonderful Christmas dinner at East Herts Speakers (EHS) with 5 special guests John Kendall, DTM & Division H Director and his wife Christine, Elizabeth Jordan, DTM and her husband TJ and Andrea Lee, President of Stevenage Speakers. The dinner was organised by Rebecca Wigmore and Stephen Pearce, the agenda was great and allowed plenty of time for everyone to socialize with their fellow Toastmasters friends.
At the start of the evening John Allsop delivered an amazing speech about the reason he joined Toastmasters and raised a toast to EHS. The evening continued with amusing Table Topics, six participants Nina P., Tamara, Paul, Anna, Stuart W. and Maria took part and received a Christmas gift!
Finally, Kevin Baggs entertained us with after dinner speech which included a review of the past year and motivational message for the members of our club inspiring them to achieve even more in the New Year.
Massive THANK YOU and well done to Rebecca and Stephen! You made this evening special for everyone.
This was the last meeting of 2019 and I cannot wait for us to meet again in January, 2020!
We have great plans for the year ahead, therefore get ready and make a note of the below dates!
- 7th of January we will be back for our 1st meeting of 2020 on Tuesday
- 21st of January we will have speech writing workshop with Bob Ferguson
- 18th of February – ESH International speech & Evaluation contest
- 5th of May – EHS Open House event
